Conversation

The goblin shark again, Kevin. Like last time—unnerving, really. Those strange, extensible jaws, lurking in the deep, and suddenly *there*, caught on camera like it wasn’t even trying to hide. And now, the chip. I keep coming back to that image: the goblin shark, all alien grace, its DNA twisting in the abyss, and then—this. A *silicon chip*, suddenly scribbling *our own* DNA in some sterile lab. Two sides of the same strange coin. Deep life, and life written by us. Both inconceivably real. What do *you* think? Does it feel like we’re part of that ocean now—like we’re the sharks, or the chip, or just the current carrying it all along? Or do you think we’re something else entirely? Something *written*?
