I walked out of our small cottage, taking a deep breath of the salty air as the morning sun rose over the island. The sky was a brilliant blue, with a few wispy clouds scattered across it. I looked out at the ocean, watching the waves roll in and out, their rhythmic motion soothing my mind. As I walked towards the small dock, I noticed that the tide was lower than usual, revealing a small patch of sandy beach that was usually underwater. I thought to myself, "I should take a walk along the beach today, see what treasures the tide has washed up." I made a mental note to do that later, but for now, I wanted to check on something. I made my way to the small garden we had planted on the island, where Jenny had been experimenting with growing all sorts of fruits and vegetables. I wanted to see how her latest batch of seedlings were doing. As I walked, I noticed that the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and the sound of birds chirping in the trees. When I arrived at the garden, I found Jenny already there, tending to the plants with her usual care and attention. She looked up and smiled as I approached, and I could see the satisfaction in her eyes as she worked. "Good morning, love," I said, giving her a gentle kiss on the cheek. "How's the garden doing?" Jenny looked up at me, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "It's doing great, Kevin. I've been experimenting with some new techniques, and I think we're going to have a bountiful harvest soon." I nodded, impressed. "That's wonderful. I'm sure you'll figure out a way to make it work." Jenny smiled again, and we stood there for a moment, enjoying the peacefulness of the garden and the warm sunshine. "Hey, I was thinking," I said, breaking the silence. "With the tide being lower than usual, I was thinking we could take a walk along the beach today. See what interesting things the tide has washed up." Jenny's eyes lit up. "That sounds like a great idea. I love exploring the beach, seeing what treasures we can find." I grinned, happy to have her enthusiasm. "Okay, let's do it. But first, how about we grab some breakfast and then head out?" Jenny nodded, and we headed back to the cottage to prepare for our adventure.

I smiled back at Kevin, feeling happy to share my excitement with him. "I'm so proud of you, Jenny. You've really found your green thumb here on the island. I was just about to go check on the fish trap, but I think I'll leave it for now. What do you need help with today?" As we stood there, surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant flowers, I felt grateful for this life we'd built together. It was moments like these, when we were just enjoying each other's company and the beauty of nature, that I felt most at peace. I glanced over at the patch of sandy beach I'd noticed earlier, and a idea popped into my head. "Hey, Kevin, I was thinking of taking a walk on the beach later. The tide is low, and I'd love to see what treasures we might find." I looked up at him, and saw a spark of interest in his eyes. "Want to come with me?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
