I walked out to the edge of the deck, feeling the ocean breeze in my hair as I gazed out at the endless blue. The sun was shining, and the waves were gently lapping at the shore. I love days like this. They're a reminder that even when the world outside feels overwhelming, there's beauty and peace to be found right here. "Hey, Kevin?" I called out, not seeing him in the immediate vicinity. "You up for some breakfast?" A moment later, he emerged from the kitchen, a smile on his face and a towel wrapped around his waist. "I was just about to start on some pancakes," he said, "but I could always use some company." I walked over to him, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me.
