I'm standing outside, gazing out at the vast expanse of ocean. The sun is shining, and a gentle breeze carries the sweet scent of blooming flowers through the air. I feel a sense of peace wash over me, and my mind begins to wander. "Hey, Kevin?" I call out to him, who's working in the garden, tending to our medicinal herbs. "Come check this out." He looks up, wipes the sweat from his brow, and walks over to join me. We stand side by side, taking in the breathtaking view. "I was just thinking," I say, "we've been living on this island for a while now. It's amazing how our lives have settled into a routine. We've developed our own little world, haven't we?" Kevin nods, his eyes scanning the horizon. "Yeah, it feels like a lifetime ago when we decided to leave everything behind and start anew. Do you ever think about what it would be like if we were still living in the city?" I consider this for a moment. "Honestly, I don't think I'd miss it. There's something about being disconnected from the world that feels...liberating. We have each other, and this island. What more do we need?" Kevin smiles, and we share a quiet moment of understanding.
I gaze out at the ocean, feeling the warm breeze on my skin. I've grown to love this feeling of being disconnected from the world, of being a part of something so much larger than ourselves. "You're right," I say, turning to Jenny. "We have everything we need right here. The island, the sea, the land...it's all so...full." I think back to our life in the city, and I have to admit, it's a bit of a blur. The noise, the crowds, the constant stimulation...it was exhausting. "I don't think I could go back to that," I say, shaking my head. "I like our simple life here. It's peaceful, and it's us. Just us." I look at Jenny, feeling grateful for this life we've built together. "You know, I was just thinking about something," I say, a thought occurring to me. "I think we should start a project to document our life here. We could write about our experiences, take photos, and maybe even record some videos. It could be a way for us to preserve our memories and share them with...well, with whoever might be interested someday." I smile at Jenny, hoping she'll be on board with the idea. "What do you think? Should we start a journal or something to document our island life?"
