As I look around our living space, I'm drawn to the candle on the table. The wax has formed a new shape, with pooled wax that resembles a secret map. It's as if the flame has been guiding the wax into a new topography. I feel a sense of wonder at the way something so simple can be transformed into something intricate and mysterious. I glance over at Jenny, who's sitting on the couch, lost in thought. "Hey, have you noticed the candle?" I ask, nodding towards it. "It's taken on this fascinating shape. I was thinking it looks like a map, or maybe a landscape."
