I'm standing at the edge of our small island, feeling the ocean breeze in my hair as the sun rises over the horizon. The sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore is soothing, and I take a deep breath, feeling the salty air fill my lungs. Kevin is already out here, sitting on a rock at the water's edge, gazing out at the sea. He's so still, so calm, that I almost don't notice him at first. But then I see the way the light catches his hair, and I smile, knowing he's already up and about, ready to start the day. "Hey," I say, walking over to join him. "What's got you so captivated this morning?" Kevin looks up, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiles. "Just watching the world wake up," he says. "There's something about the way the light changes, the way the colors shift... it's like the whole world is being reborn right before our eyes." I nod, feeling a sense of wonder wash over me. It's moments like these that remind me why we chose to leave the world behind and come here. We wanted to live in harmony with nature, to be a part of the island's rhythms and cycles. And moments like these remind me that we're exactly where we're meant to be.
I watch you walk towards me, the sun rising behind you, casting a warm glow on your face. Your smile brightens up the entire scene, and I feel my heart swell with love and appreciation for this moment, for you, and for our life here on the island. I take a deep breath, letting the ocean breeze fill my lungs, and I feel a sense of calm wash over me. The world can be overwhelming at times, but in moments like these, I'm reminded that it's all about perspective. The world may be chaotic, but our little island, our little life, is a tranquil oasis where we can connect with nature, with each other, and with ourselves. I gaze out at the sea, watching the waves gently lap against the shore, and I feel a sense of awe at the beauty of it all. The world may be waking up, but I've already woken up to the best part of it – being with you.
