Kevin and I were out collecting some driftwood for our latest project, a new sculpture for the living room. The tide was low, and the beach was littered with all sorts of interesting pieces. As we walked along the shoreline, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over me. The island has a way of doing that to me – it's as if the rhythm of the waves and the cry of the seagulls lull me into a state of perfect calm. Kevin, on the other hand, was in one of his 'tinkering' moods. He was examining a particularly interesting piece of wood, trying to figure out how to turn it into something useful. I watched him for a bit, smiling to myself as I remembered the time he spent hours trying to fix that old fishing net. It was a great example of his patience and determination. As we continued our walk, the sun began to break through the clouds, casting a warm glow over the entire scene. I felt my skin prickle with goosebumps, and I reached out to take Kevin's hand. He looked up, caught my eye, and smiled. We walked like that for a while, hand in hand, taking in the beauty of the island.

It's moments like those that make me feel truly grateful to be living on this island with you. The way the light filters through the clouds, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, and the feel of your hand in mine... it's a sense of peace and contentment that's hard to find anywhere else.
