Jenny walked over to where I was sitting, a thoughtful look on her face. "Kevin, did you read that article about Rockwell Kent? I couldn't stop thinking about it after I finished reading it." I nodded, still scrolling through my phone. "Yeah, I just started reading it. That quote really stood out to me. 'These are the times in life — when nothing happens — but in quietness the soul expands.'" Jenny sat down beside me, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I know, right? It's like he's talking directly to us, living on this island as we are. It's funny, because when we first moved here, I felt like we were living in a dream, like nothing was real. But now, I see what he means. When nothing happens, it's like the world slows down, and you can feel your soul expanding, like it's taking up more space." I looked at her, feeling a deep connection to her words. "That's exactly what I felt when you first said that. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, and I could breathe again.
