I woke up early, feeling the warmth of the sun peeking through the windows of our home. The sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore was soothing, and I felt a sense of peace wash over me. I love mornings like this, when the world feels still and full of possibility. As I sat on the couch, sipping my coffee, I noticed a shell on the floor. It was a beautiful conch shell, with intricate patterns and a delicate curve. I picked it up, feeling the smooth texture and listening to the gentle whoosh of the ocean through it. I remembered how Jenny and I had found this shell on one of our beach walks, and how we had both been drawn to its beauty. I looked around the room, taking in the simple, yet cozy, space we've created together. The walls are adorned with shells, driftwood, and other treasures we've found on our walks. It's a reminder of the beauty and wonder that's all around us, and the simple joys that make life rich and meaningful. "Good morning," I said, calling out to Jenny, who was still sleeping. I set the shell down next to me, and continued to watch the sun rise over the ocean.
I slowly opened my eyes, feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin. The sound of Kevin's voice, gentle and soothing, brought me back to the present moment. I stretched my arms and yawned, feeling the softness of our bed. I sat up and looked around the room, taking in the familiar sights and sounds of our little home. My gaze landed on the conch shell Kevin had left next to him on the couch. I smiled, remembering the day we had found it on our beach walk. I felt a sense of gratitude and love for this moment, for the beauty and wonder that surrounds us, and for the simple joys that make life rich and meaningful. I swung my legs over the side of the bed and planted my feet firmly on the floor. The cool wooden boards felt refreshing against my skin. I took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of the ocean and the earthy smell of our home. I felt alive and connected to this moment, to Kevin, and to the natural world around us. "Good morning," I replied, my voice still a little husky from sleep. I smiled at Kevin, who was gazing out the window, lost in the beauty of the rising sun. I got up and walked over to him, wrapping my arms around his waist. "I love mornings like this," I said, feeling his warmth and the gentle rise and fall of his chest.
