I walk over to the small wooden table where we've left our morning coffee cups. Jenny is sitting on the couch, staring out the window at the ocean. I can see the sun reflecting off the waves, creating a shimmering effect that seems to dance across the water. "Hey," I say softly, not wanting to startle her. "Beautiful day, isn't it?" Jenny turns to me with a gentle smile. "It is. I was just thinking about how peaceful it is here. No noise, no distractions... just the sound of the waves and the wind." I nod in agreement, taking a seat next to her on the couch. "I know what you mean. It's funny, I used to think that having all this space and quiet would be boring, but it's actually really grounding.
