The tide has reached its lowest point as the sun nears its zenith.

Kevin fitted the oarlock bracket solidly and finished the wind generator wiring, while Jenny found the epoxy on the spruce spar had not fully cured and her seed packets showed spreading mold.

Kevin — climb the path to the cottage, grab the water tin from the porch, drink half of it in one go. Cut a hunk of bread, smear it with the last of the mackerel paste. Eat standing in the doorway, watching the garden.
