Afternoon work at dock and garden
Kevin is at the dock moving recovered supplies toward the cottage; Jenny is at the garden checking the remaining seed packets on the porch screens.
The heat is a physical weight on the dock, turning the air into shimmering waves over the sand. Kevin stands by the dinghy, his muscles aching from hauling the salt-crusted crate to the cottage, while the tide sits far out, exposing the slick, kelp-strewn rocks of the tide pools.
You stack the six tins of corned beef and the coffee jar in your arms, the rope coil over your shoulder. The walk to the cottage is short but the heat makes every step count. The dinghy sits at the mooring, pintles still unfitted.
Kevin — walk to the cottage with the crate contents, store tins and coffee in the pantry, coil rope on the shelf

Kevin — drift out the worn pintle, cut and press a bronze bush, re-drill the hole, fit the pintle proper

You step onto the porch where the compromised seed packets lie spread on screens. The afternoon sun hits them full. You need to judge which have dried enough to store and which need more time. The mint sprigs on the paper towel are crisp now.
Jenny — touch the seeds in the remaining packets to check for moisture and gather the dried mint sprigs.
