Evening meal and radio watch

Kevin and Jenny sit at the cottage table with boiled limpets and corned beef. The generator hums outside. The barometer reads 1014 hPa and falling fast. The shortwave crackles with static on Tom's frequency. The supply boat is due tomorrow, but the pressure drop says the storm will arrive first.

The humidity hangs heavy over the cottage as the tide recedes, exposing the rocky pools. Kevin inspects the radio mast's new insulator installation while Jenny monitors the germinating seed trays in the humid shade.
