Midday Hunger and Beach Salvage
Kevin is at the dock and Jenny is at the garden.
Kevin spent the morning at the dock sorting through a tangle of driftwood and plastic washed up by the storm. He managed to free a length of rope from the debris and hauled it back to the dock. Jenny worked in the garden, documenting the state of stunted seedlings in her notebook despite the steady rain.
You stand on the weathered planks, looking toward the beach. The high tide is beginning to slacken, leaving the new flotsam high on the sand.

You sit on the garden wall with your notebook open. The overcast light provides a flat, clear view of the seedlings' morphology.
