The Heavy Air
Kevin and Jenny stand by the raised garden wall as the humid air hangs still over the island. Jenny checks the tension of the shade cloth over the tomato rows while Kevin observes the barometer reading on the porch.
Kevin spent the morning attempting to carve the softwood scrap and test the Yanmar engine under load. Jenny focused on the garden, tending to the seedlings, though the heavy, still air made the work sluggish.
