Midday Meal and Planning

You both return to the dock after lunch, the tide still falling. The dock is dry enough for movement, and the repaired mooring ring now holds the dock’s weight. You sit on the dock’s edge, sharing a simple meal and discussing the next steps for the day.

Kevin heads to the dock to test the Yanmar engine under load, while Jenny moves to the garden to begin planting the heirloom seeds. The heat is oppressive, and the tide is out, exposing the rocks.
