shelter from the rain

The rain drums steadily against the roof as you both retreat from the garden. You sit inside, the smell of damp earth and salt following you in.

Kevin reinforced the dock mooring ring with longer bolts and oak shims, while Jenny planted a poppy seed and checked the barometer, but the barometer did not drop further. Both then returned to the cottage to prepare for the coming night.
