Kevin and Jenny stand at the edge of the dock as the tide recedes from the pilings. Kevin checks the tension on the new mooring ring bolts while Jenny observes the salt-crust on the wood.
The tide is high now, lapping against the dock pilings as Kevin returns from the cottage after checking the Yanmar's oil level. Jenny remains on the dock, her pencil moving across the paper as she sketches the way the salt has crystallized into the grain of the greenheart wood.
