Evening Meal and Rest

The smell of salt salt and corned beef fills the cottage as the sun disappears behind the overcast sky. Outside, the wind picks up slightly, rattling the shutter.

Kevin attempted to shim the porch shutter hinge using washers and 10mm bolts, but the hardware was too corroded to hold. A sudden squall hit, driving rain horizontally through the gap before the shutter could be secured. Jenny monitored her ankle wound while the wind rattled the cottage.
