Afternoon Meeting

The air remains heavy as the sun begins to dip lower. The tide is coming in, threatening the waterlogged crate still near the dock.

The tide is rising faster than the forecast suggested, bringing the swell against the dock. Kevin has secured the waterlogged crate with a double bowline and a round turn around the landward cleat, preventing it from being swept under the pilings. Both return to the cottage as the light begins to fade.
