Evening before the arrival
The high tide laps against the shore stones as the light fades. Kevin and Jenny sit together in the salt air, waiting in anticipation of the morning boat.
Kevin and Jenny spent the night at the old shrine watching the barometer pressure begin to stabilize. The humid air remains heavy and overcast, but the falling tide exposes the rocks as they prepare for the supply boat's arrival.
The barometer is rising, at least. That's something.

Rising slow. If it holds past 0400 we've got a shot. Wind needs to drop below 35 sustained.
Check the barometer reading again, then walk back toward the cottage to finish securing the grab bag and check the dinghy's lashings one more time.

Lower shelf's drier. Grab bag's by the door — seeds go in last so they're on top.
Walk to the cottage, unlash the grab bag, and open it to make space for the seed packets on top of the medical kit and spare clothes.
