Midday work at dock and cottage

Kevin turns the bronze sleeve on the improvised lathe at the dock; Jenny dries sea beet leaves and sketches lichen at the cottage.

Kevin spent the afternoon at the dock attempting to fit the bronze sleeve onto the Yanmar prop shaft, but the fit was not tight. Jenny prepared the sea beet leaves in the kitchen and checked the water level, finding it to be stable.

The lathe chatters as you take a finishing cut on the bronze sleeve. Calipers read 35.1mm — one more light pass. The tide is high, water lapping the lower planks. Your stomach is hollow.

Kevin — take a light finishing cut on the bronze sleeve, check with calipers, then press-fit it onto the prop shaft with Loctite.
