The Evening Calm Breaks

The humidity is a physical weight as the first true gust of wind hits from the southwest.

Kevin went to the dock to secure the dinghy's bow mooring line with a proper splice and chafe gear, but the falling barometer and rising wind made the work difficult. Jenny stayed at the cottage, checking the cracked aerial insulator and sketching sea beet morphology in her notebook while the storm approached.
