Kevin and Jenny are in the kitchen of the keeper's cottage. The wind is steady from the northeast, driving rain against the windows. The generator hums outside. Kevin tried the shortwave on 4125 kHz at 1300 and raised the supply boat, confirming arrival in six days with a forecast of building seas and squalls. Jenny finished her sea beet sketch and examined the aerial insulator, finding the crack has lengthened under the tape.
