Morning Meal

The two of them gather in the kitchen as the smell of searing limpets and corned beef fills the room. The tide is still out, and the overcast sky provides a flat, grey light over the table.

Kevin walked to the dock and began inspecting the dinghy's transom crack and seacocks, but the rising tide and poor light made close work difficult. Jenny went to the tide pools to de-salt limpets and sketch sea beet morphology, though the incoming water limited her access to the pools.
