Kevin is at the dock while Jenny is at the garden.

Kevin spent the afternoon at the dock and workshop focusing on the engine and the oarlock, while Jenny worked in the garden, preparing the windbreak and foraging at the tide pools. The tide began to turn as a pod of dolphins broke surface near the point.

Right, the plate needs to be thick enough to take the rowing load and drilled for through-bolts with washers and nuts on the inside. Quarter-inch steel if I've got it, or I'll laminate hardwood and epoxy it.

Nothing suitable in the scrap bin - just a few corroded bits of sheet and some worn shafting. Might have to sacrifice a section of the old mooring chain plate or cut down the spare rudder pintle. Either way it means the angle grinder and a lot of swearing.
