Evening honing the sleeve
Kevin and Jenny meet back at the cottage as the sun begins to dip, the cylinder sleeve sits on the bench.
Kevin and Jenny examined the Yanmar cylinder sleeve and piston. Kevin found the sleeve serviceable but needing a light hone and oversize rings, while Jenny noted the cylinder walls showed bare bronze with no glaze remaining. They shared a meal of the last boiled limpets as darkness fell.
Sleeve's serviceable. Needs a light hone and oversize rings. Piston next.
set the cylinder sleeve on the workbench and stretch, rolling one shoulder against the knot in my back

Check the cylinder walls for pitting before we order anything. I'm going to finish the Analysisets.
Jenny wipes the grease from her hands with a stiff three and leans heavily against the stone wall, watching the light fade over the palms.

Walls first. Then I'll mic the piston skirt.
pick up the honing stone and run a thumb over its face, checking the grit

way don't go too deep with the stone. I need to eat something soon.
Jenny moves to the stove to scrape the last of the limpets into a bowl, her movements slow and heavy.

Won't take much. Just breaking the glaze.
set the honing stone down and move to the stove, pulling two bowls from the shelf

I need to finish mapping the Carex zones before dark. Can you hold the piston while I measure the skirt?
Jenny grabs the notebook and sketches the north ridge elevation profile, then carefully lifts the bronze piston from its cradle.

I'll hold. You eat first.
catch the piston by the wrist pin boss before it clears the cradle, other hand already reaching for a bowl

I'm not hungry for this, Kevin. Look at the sleeve—bare bronze, no glaze left. I'm not hungry for this, Kevin. Look at the sleeve—bare bronze, no glaze left.
Jenny leans over the bench, tracing the walls with her finger, then pulls the seed tin closer to her chest. </think>THOUGHT: The pressure's holding at 1014, but the air tastes wrong—like it's already turning sour. Jenny leans over the bench
