Meal Prep and Rest

Kevin and Jenny meet in the kitchen as the sun begins to dip. The smell of cooking salt fills the room.

The air is thick and still, the 28°C heat pressing down on the cottage as the tide slowly retreats, exposing the slick rocks of the south shore. Jenny sits on the porch, her ankle throbbing in the humidity, while Kevin prepares to work the parched earth of the garden beds.
