The Downpour Persists

The rain does not let up, turning the garden into a slurry. Kevin returns to the cottage, shivering and exhausted, while Jenny waits by the stove.

Kevin cleared the spring path with saw and crowbar, removing the fallen spruce obstruction. Jenny boiled limpets for breakfast, identified and removed damping-off seedlings from heirloom trays, and cleaned and re-dressed her ankle wound.
