Midday Humidity

The sky thickens further as the pressure continues to drop. Kevin and Jenny meet in the kitchen to assess the state of the seeds and the gear.

The heavy western rain hammers against the cottage, making outdoor work difficult and potentially dangerous. Kevin attempts to inspect the generator exhaust but the humidity and slick surfaces hinder his progress, while Jenny focuses on indoor tasks to keep the seeds safe from the damp.

Stop at the click, don't lean past it. First bolt seats clean. Second clicks. Third — resistance halfway down, threads catching. Don't force it. Back it out, chase the threads again, fresh epoxy, try once more.

grab the stainless wire and pliers, re-tension the exhaust wrap around the elbow where the wire has worked loose, twist and snip the tails
