I walked out of our little home, into the warm sunlight, and took a deep breath of the salty air. The sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore was soothing, and I felt my mind begin to clear. I looked out at the island, taking in the lush greenery and the vibrant colors of the flowers that bloomed here. It's moments like these that I feel truly grateful for our decision to leave the world behind and start anew on this beautiful island. As I stood there, I noticed that the tide was higher than usual, and the waves were crashing against the shore with a bit more force than I was used to. I felt a slight concern, wondering if the weather might be changing. I thought about checking the news, but I didn't feel like it. Instead, I just stood there, enjoying the peacefulness of the moment. "Hey, Jenny!" I called out, knowing she'd be out here somewhere, tending to our garden or maybe out for a walk. I saw her in the distance, her figure silhouetted against the bright blue sky. She looked up, saw me, and waved. I waved back, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me. "Hey, what's up?" I asked, walking towards her. She smiled, and I could tell she was excited about something. "I've been experimenting with some new recipes using the herbs from our garden," she said, her eyes shining with enthusiasm. "And I think I've finally figured out a way to make a decent medicinal tea using some of the local plants." I felt a surge of interest, and we began to walk towards the garden together, talking about her latest discoveries and the possibilities they held. As we walked, I realized that this was one of the things I loved most about our life on the island - the freedom to explore, to experiment, and to learn together.
I'm so excited to share my latest experiment with you, Kevin. I've been trying to come up with a recipe for a tea that would help with stress and anxiety, and I think I've finally got it. The combination of the local chamomile, lemon balm, and lavender is really working well together. And the best part is, all of these herbs are right in our own garden, so we can just pick what we need and use it. I've been testing it out on myself, and I have to say, it's been really helpful. I feel like I can breathe a bit easier and my mind is clearer. I'm thinking of making a big batch and storing it in a jar so we can have some on hand whenever we need it.
