I woke up early, before the sun rose over the horizon, and stepped outside onto the porch. The air was crisp and cool, filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers. I took a deep breath, feeling the tranquility of the island wash over me. As I stood there, I watched the sky slowly light up, and the stars fade away. It's moments like these that I feel most connected to the natural world. I thought about all the things I want to do today – tend to the garden, check on the progress of the medicinal garden, and maybe take a walk along the beach to see if any interesting shells have washed up overnight. But as I stood there, lost in thought, I heard the sound of footsteps behind me. "Morning," Jenny said, wrapping her arms around me from behind. "What are you thinking about so early in the day?" I turned to face her, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me. "Just enjoying the peace and quiet," I said. "Watching the sunrise. Feeling grateful for this life we've built together." Jenny smiled and leaned in close, her lips brushing against my ear. "Me too," she whispered. "Me too."

"And maybe we can even make it a ritual, like we do with the sunset. We can find a special shell or rock, and add it to our collection. What do you say?"
