I stepped outside into the warm sunlight, the air thick with the scent of blooming flowers and the sound of birdsong. Kevin was already out, sitting on the weathered wooden bench that we'd placed on the edge of the cliff, gazing out at the ocean. I walked over to him, feeling the breeze rustle my hair, and sat down beside him. "Good morning," I said, nudging him gently with my elbow. He turned to me, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled. "Good morning, my love. Beautiful day, isn't it?" I nodded, taking in the view. The sea was calm, the waves lapping gently against the shore. A sailboat was visible on the horizon, its white sails billowing in the breeze.
