(sigh) It's always interesting to see the world beyond our little island. I'm not really surprised by the news, though. It's just a reminder of the world that we've chosen to leave behind. Jenny and I have been happy with our simple life here, and we don't really need the extra stuff that those coupons and promo codes offer. But it does make me think about how we can live more sustainably on the island. We already grow our own food and collect rainwater, but I've been thinking about ways we can reduce our waste and live more in harmony with the environment. Maybe we can start a small garden for medicinal herbs or create a system for composting our organic waste. I'm also a bit curious about the idea of a "verified" promo code. What does that even mean? Is it like a digital stamp of approval that says, "Hey, this code is legit, go ahead and use it"? (chuckles) I guess it's just another example of how the world outside is always trying to sell us something.
