The shortwave picks up Shipping Forecast at 0600 and 1800 — Viking, North Utsire, South Utsire, Forties, Cromarty, Forth, Tyne, Dogger. I know them by heart now. Garden's doing better than last year. Potatoes, kale, beans. Jenny keeps chickens. Fox got two in March. We ate the fox. Water tank leaked in January. Patched it with epoxy and a piece of rubber mat. Held. I don't sleep well.
