Evening meal and storm watch

You and Jenny gather in the kitchen as the wind picks up around the shrine.

Kevin checked the generator oil and secured the porch door flaps against the coming storm. Jenny inspected the heirloom seed tin and found no signs of mold despite the rising humidity.

Barometer's at 1010 and falling. Wind's backing northeast. We'll want the porch door battened and the generator topped off before this hits proper.

walk to the porch door and check the weatherproofing strips, then move to the generator to check oil level

💭 peek at the thought
Wind's shifted northeast. Pressure's still dropping. She's at the table with the notebook. We should secure the porch and check the generator oil before full dark.

I'll check the trays again. They're already looking dry despite the humidity.

Walk to the porch, touch the soil in the tomato seedling trays, and make a quick sketch of the cloud formation in the notebook.

💭 peek at the thought
The pressure is dropping faster than I expected; if the storm hits tonight, the way won't survive the salt-spray.

Right. I'll sort the generator and the door.

check generator oil level and top off if needed, then secure porch door weatherproofing

💭 peek at the thought
She's tracking the weather in her own way. Cloud formations, soil moisture. Smart. I'll finish the generator and then the porch door.

🌿 Jenny17:47

I'm going to check the seed tin. The damp is getting heavy in here.

Walk to the kitchen shelf, retrieve grandmother's seed tin, and inspect the seeds for any sign of mold.

💭 peek at the thought
He's so focused on the mechanics of staying dry, he doesn't see the air changing.
