The First Squall
Kevin and Jenny stand on the dock as the overcast sky suddenly darkens. A sharp gust of wind picks up, whipping the dinghy sail while the first heavy drops of rain hit the salt spray.
Kevin successfully secured the dinghy as the rotting dock planks shifted under the weight, using the heavy weather line to anchor the boat. Jenny struggled to reach the mooring ring in time, failing to get a secure loop before the wind caught the sail and pulled the boat taut.
Kevin, get the way over the dinghy now! The planks are already shifting!
Grab the heavy canvas and run to the dinghy to secure the mast.

Stern line's slack! Grabbing the heavy weather spring!
lunge for the coiled heavy weather line at the dinghy's stern cleat, haul it tight and wrap it round the aft dock cleat, cinching it down with a round turn and two half hitches
