Midday Work
Kevin is at the dock inspecting the Yanmar housing bolts; Jenny is on the hilltop continuing the Carex transect.
Kevin retrieved the Yanmar housing bolt from the bilge and found its threads intact after cleaning. He measured the stripped bolt holes in the engine housing with a micrometer. Jenny finished her salt gland sketches of wild mustard on the north ridge and began walking back toward the cottage as a sudden squall hit with wind and driving rain.
You are at the dock, the dinghy beside you. You take the torque wrench and test the tightness of the Yanmar housing bolts, two of which feel loose, one missing entirely.
Kevin — retrieve the recovered housing bolt from the bilge and inspect threads; check bolt inventory for 10mm stainless replacements

You are on the hilltop, notebook open. You record the plant counts and soil texture at the second cairn, then move toward the third, noting how the wind shapes the vegetation.
Jenny — sketch the salt glands on the wild mustard leaves in the notebook.
