A Hollow Dinner
Kevin and Jenny sit at the small wooden table. The only light comes from a single flickering candle between them.
Kevin successfully reworked the engine float needle on the lathe, achieving a clean seal, and fitted the oarlock bracket with a backing plate and new bolts. Jenny planted heirloom tomatoes and herbs in the lime-treated beds, then foraged limpets and sea beet from the tide pools before they flooded.
The limpets were tough. I didn't get enough sea beet before the tide.
