Midday Heat
You and Jenny meet by the cottage as the sun reaches its peak behind the overcast clouds, the air heavy with the scent of approaching rain.
Kevin covered the garden beds with the spare tarp before the rain hit hard, securing it against the rising wind. Jenny sketched the sea beet leaves rapidly as the light failed, capturing gland density gradients before the storm obscured detail. The barometer dropped to 976 hPa and the tide peaked high, driving spray over the garden wall.

Two hours. If the rain holds off first.
Sit down heavily on the chair and pull my sketchbook out to sketch the way the weeds are reclaiming the stone.

I can see well enough, the clouds are moving.
