Kevin climbed the radio mast in steady rain to replace the shattered insulator but lost his footing on the slick rungs, falling hard onto the dock planks and bruising his ribs. Jenny completed her detailed sea beet salt gland illustrations in the notebook, then tested the Yanmar's ignition with the spare spark plug and confirmed a strong blue spark at the cylinder.
