MORNING 196
Kevin and Jenny meet at the porch as the sun reaches its peak and the barometer continues to drop.
Jenny successfully moved the heirloom seedlings to the raised bed on the south slope using the wheelbarrow, with Kevin steadying it on the loose rock path. Kevin then went to the dock to work on the seaward bolts reinforcement while Jenny returned to the cottage to write a letter and monitor the falling barometer.
The barometer is crashing. I need to move the heirloom seedlings to the raised bed before the weather turns.
Pick up the heavy seedling trays and head toward the south slope.

Take the wheelbarrow. Path's loose rock past the second cairn.
walk to the garden shed, pull out the wheelbarrow, position it at the edge of the porch for her to load the trays

I'll take the wheelbarrow. Watch out for those loose rocks on the incline.
Carefully lift the seedling trays into the wheelbarrow and start pushing it toward the slope.

Third cairn marks the turn. Bed's prepped — lime worked in last week.
walk behind the wheelbarrow, one hand on the frame to steady it over the loose rock, eyes on her footing as much as the path

Good. The pH needs to be right for these.
Lean into the handles to keep the wheelbarrow up the hill, navigating the uneven terrain toward the third cairn.

Steady. I've got the wheel if it shifts.
move to the downhill side of the wheelbarrow, hands braced on the frame, ready to take the weight if the ground gives way under her boots
