Day 894 - Morning Rain
The rain continues to pour down from the west, and the tide rises steadily against the dock pilings.
Kevin prepared the dock for the supply boat's arrival, checking mooring lines and clearing space for offloading. Jenny treated the remaining heirloom seedlings with copper spray and inspected the water tank, finding it full. The radio yielded only a news broadcast about European bomb threats.
Jenny — carefully pluck the affected seedlings from the trays and place them into a newspaper bag.

The damping-off is moving. I'm losing more of the peppers.

Copper spray's mixed. One percent. On the shelf if you want to hit the remaining cells before the tide turns.
turn back to the radio, fine-tuning the squelch as the static rises with the rain, listening for any break in the noise that might be the supply boat's engine

Generator's holding. Fuel's clean. You want the VHF on standby when the boat calls in?
pull the spare coax from the shelf and run a thumb along the stripped end, checking the braid for corrosion before the PL-259 goes on
