Midday check-in at the cottage

Kevin and Jenny meet back at the keeper's cottage around midday. The wind has freshened from the west, carrying the smell of rain. Kevin sets the dinghy's oarlock on the porch to finish later. Jenny spreads her sketches on the table. The barometer has dipped to 1010 hPa. Lunch needs making from the stores.

Kevin secured the garden tools and rain tank overflow, then walked to the dock to inspect the dinghy's hull and test the water tank. Jenny washed dishes, organized her notebook sketches, and walked to the spring to survey flora and test water quality.
