Engine Test and Garden Erosion
Kevin is at the dock testing the engine, and Jenny is at the north cliffs checking the garden.
Kevin pulls the Yanmar cylinder head to inspect the bore for wear while the humid air thickens. Jenny spends the afternoon on the cliffs, documenting local flora and noting the drop in wind pressure before the coming storm.
You prime the starter and listen for any irregularities in the Yanmar's rhythm under the rain.
Kevin — pull the starter cord, let the Yanmar fire, stand back and listen to the idle

You inspect the lime bed to see how much of the soil and seeds have washed away.
Dammit.
Kneel in the mud and probe the slurry with a finger to see if any seeds are still anchored.
