Low Tide Inspection and Preparation

Kevin and Jenny stand on the south dock as the tide recedes from the pilings. Jenny examines the progress on the starboard stringer while Kevin organizes the new greenheart plates for the sister joint.

Kevin and Jenny discovered the port stringer's third bolt hole sits over hollow rot with only three millimetres of sound wood. They shifted the greenheart sister plate twenty centimetres aft to solid wood, re-marked the bolt pattern, and began drilling new pilot holes.
