Afternoon work and repairs
Kevin is at the dock with the broken starter cord; Jenny is at the cottage with the broken tweezers and a loose tarp corner.
Kevin repaired the starter cord and tested the Yanmar engine on the dinghy. Jenny planted an heirloom seed in the lime-treated bed and checked the barometer. A tangle of driftwood and flotsam washed up on the beach.
You stand at the dock beside the dinghy, the broken starter cord in hand. The Yanmar sits mounted but untested. You consider whether to fashion a replacement from the new half-inch rope or walk back for the spare cord in the workshop.
Kevin — walk back to the workshop at the cottage for the spare starter cord.

Kevin — re-thread the starter cord on the Yanmar’s recoil mechanism, knot it securely, and wind it onto the pulley.

Kevin — pull the starter cord to test the Yanmar engine on the dinghy, listening for catch and idle.

You're back at the cottage, the broken tweezers on the table. The garden tarp corner needs re-staking before the next gust. You'll need a heavier stake or a rock anchor, and you still have the rest of the heirloom seeds to plant in the treated bed.
Almost there, Jenny.
Walk to the garden, pick up a heavy stone to weight the tarp down, and kneel back in the dirt.

Jenny — reach for the next heirloom seed in the tin and press it into the earth with my thumb.

Just one more.
Wipe the damp soil from my hands and look at the barometer through the window.
