The Receding Tide

The tide continues to fall, revealing more of the rocky floor around the tide pools as the sun climbs higher.

Kevin probes the dock planks with a crowbar to check for rot as the tide recedes. Jenny heads to the north cliffs to sketch salt gland morphology on the succulents despite the steady rain.

Good light now. Low tide means I can see the full extent of the rot in the dock planks and get at the bolt holes properly. Need to ream them clean before the supply boat comes — if it comes.
